cinnamon sugar donut mini muffins with lavender

I know that’s a mouthful. Bear with me.

I’m sorry. I’m sorry for what I am about to introduce to you. They’re cinnamon sugar donuts. And also mini muffins. Just trust me. When you’ve eaten 37 of these and you. can’t. stop… Please remember that I warned you. THESE ARE AMAZING. And you can feel less guilty eating several of these than the cupcakes muffins from last week. I made them two days in a row. One batch went to the Rascal, naturally. John and I didn’t crush 2 pans of these by ourselves… Even though (sugar high aside) we could have without batting an eye.

honey thyme muffins

Are you ready for a delicious breakfast recipe that’s perfect for hot summer mornings? I made these honey & thyme muffins a couple of weeks ago for the guys aboard the Rascal for the Bohicket Tournament, and they were a hit! In fact, they’re currently out in the open ocean fishing in the Carolina Billfish Classic. These grab and go muffins are light and fluffy, with a touch of tang and just enough sweetness – a perfect way to start your early morning trek off-shore. Grab one and get fishing!

breakfast bombs

Happy Friday, friends! I have a recipe for you that you should definitely try out this weekend. These breakfast bombs are super easy, and you can make them for a crowd with no problem. They are great to have on hand – make them the day before a hunt, and you can grab and go on your way to the stand. A quick zap in the microwave, and they will be just as warm and melty as when they came out of the oven. Make too many? They freeze like champs. Also, you can tweak the ingredients to suit your fancy! Whether you’re cooking for 5 or 15, these are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

egg in a mug breakfast sandwich

I know that sounds weird… But trust me, it is so surprisingly easy and good, you’ll want to give it a try. Like, tomorrow. Or today, if you are just waking up. This is one of those quick breakfasts you can make and assemble in less than 5 minutes, wrap it in some tin foil to keep it warm, and walk out of the door to your hunting/fishing destination. I made this sort of on a whim with what I happened to have on hand, so it is pretty simple. So simple I was almost embarassedYou can also vary the ingredients to suit your taste buds, so be creative! *{See below for some variation inspiration}

grab and go breakfasts

Happy Tuesday all! Ever wake up to hunt or fish at, say, 4 am, and think “How can one function, much less think about eating this early in the morning?!” So then you throw on your camouflage or bathing suit, pour a quick cup of coffee, and walk out the door. And what do you know? Thirty minutes later, you are starving, but you’re already waist-deep in the pond or have just pulled away from the dock. Talk about s-o-l, right? Wrong!
