radio interview with jim reynolds outdoors

Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope everyone had a delightful weekend.

I’m taking a quick break in the Patagonia posts to bring you something entirely new. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to do an interview with Jim Reynolds, of Jim Reynolds Outdoors. He found Bright Side Outdoors through Women’s Outdoor News, and reached out to me to do an interview for his radio show. Pretty neat stuff, huh? Needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity!

Jim is such a nice guy, and the time flew by while we were chatting. We talk duck hunting, tarpon fishing, and about the great outdoors in general. They’re working on a new “women in the outdoors” segment, and I couldn’t be more proud to have the opportunity to contribute!

Admittedly, I was more than a little nervous, making a few blunders along the way (i.e. blanking on the fact that we do, actually, have stripers around here, in addition to a nice audible choke on my water that Jim was thankfully able to cut out). Have you ever heard your own voice (through a recording, obviously… Not in your own head) and thought “WHOA WHOA WHOA. Who is this person? Surely that’s not what I sound like, right?”
